79.21
surah 79 - verse 21

Arberry | So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. |
Maududi | Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. |
Pickthall | So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. |
Sahih | So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. |
Yusuf Ali | But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. |

Arberry | Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! |
Maududi | Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). |
Pickthall | Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. |
Sahih | Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. |
Yusuf Ali | Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). |

Yusuf Ali | What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? (Allah) hath constructed it: |

Yusuf Ali | And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, |
