surah 50 - verse 41

Maududi	Hearken on the Day when the caller will call from a place nearby,
Pickthall	And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,
Sahih	And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -

surah 50 - verse 42

Arberry	On the day they hear the Cry in truth, that is the day of coming forth.
Maududi	the Day when they shall hear the Blast in truth. That will be the Day (for the dead) to come forth.
Pickthall	The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).
Sahih	The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

surah 50 - verse 44

Arberry	Upon the day when the earth is split asunder from about them as they hasten forth; that is a mustering easy for Us.
Maududi	on the Day when the earth will be rent asunder and people, rising from it, will hasten forth. To assemble them all will be easy for Us.
Pickthall	On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).
Sahih	On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.
Yusuf Ali	The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us.

50.45

surah 50 - verse 45

Arberry	We know very well what they say; thou art not a tyrant over them. Therefore remind by the Koran him who fears My threat.
Maududi	(O Prophet), We are well aware of what they say; and you are not required to force things on them. So exhort with the Qur'an all those who fear My warning.
Pickthall	We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.
Sahih	We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.
Yusuf Ali	We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!
