70.41
surah 70 - verse 41

Arberry | to substitute a better than they; We shall not be outstripped. |
Maududi | to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. |
Pickthall | To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. |
Sahih | To replace them with better than them; and We are not to be outdone. |
Yusuf Ali | Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). |

Maududi | the Day on which they will hastily come forth from their graves, as though they were hurrying on to the altars of their deities. |

Sahih | The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. |
Yusuf Ali | The Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them),- |

Arberry | humbled their eyes, overspreading them abasement. That is the day which they were promised. |
Maududi | Their eyes will be downcast and disgrace will overwhelm them. Such is the Day that they were promised. |
Pickthall | With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised. |
Sahih | Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised. |
Yusuf Ali | Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! |
